NCCRA, as part of the Cactus Intertie System has signed an agreement with the American Red Cross to provide wide-area communications support in times of disaster.  We directly support the communications efforts of the American Red Cross in the bay area through our open repeater system called "Bay-Net".  More information can be found at www.bay-net.org  In the event of a major regional disaster, the assets of NCCRA and the rest of the Cactus Intertie will be made available to augment emergency communications out of the effected area.
