Welcome to the Northern California Cactus Radio Association

NCCRA sponsors a network of 12 linked UHF repeater and remote base systems covering Northern California. Our sites provide primary coverage in Sacramento, San Francisco, Berkeley, San Jose, Monterey, Willits, Fresno and the eastern Sierra to Lake Tahoe.

NCCRA is affiliated with the Cactus Intertie System. The Cactus Intertie links over 150 radio sites from Northern California to the Mexican Border and east through Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Texas. Radio sites are owned, built and maintained by 20 affiliate radio clubs throughout the southwest.

NCCRA provides wide-area emergency communications for the American Red Cross and supports various public service events in Northern California.  The system offers full-time linked repeater coverage throughout Northern California, remote base, and IRLP access.

The repeater network is available for use by members of NCCRA and members of any Cactus Intertie affiliate system.  Membership is open to all radio amateurs that share the common goals of the club.  If you are interested in becoming a member of NCCRA, go to the membership link on the menu.

NCCRA also sponsors the Bay-Net System, an open VHF, UHF and 900 MHz repeater system in Silicon Valley to support emergency communications, public service, and experimentation.
